This year, I turn sixty — my Kanreki, the traditional milestone year of the Fire Horse. To mark this moment and with deep gratitude for everything that has brought me here, I painted this piece by hand as a small celebration for myself. The design features the words “Finally 60!” written in French, along with a red heart. Finally, at last, sixty. But it is a happy and grateful sixty.
