This year, I turn sixty — my Kanreki, the traditional milestone year of the Fire Horse. To mark this moment and with deep gratitude for everything that has brought me here, I painted this piece by hand as a small celebration for myself. When you think of Kanreki, you think of the red chanchanko vest. I drew a stylish vest in trompe-l’œil line art.
