This year, I turn sixty — my Kanreki, the traditional milestone year of the Fire Horse. To mark this moment and with deep gratitude for everything that has brought me here, I painted this piece by hand as a small celebration for myself. When I turned forty, I made a “40T.” This time, I painted a parody of it. A little funny, right? This time it’s “60T.” On a black base, I gave it a quick spray to create a spacey feeling. Sixty years feels mysterious, almost like the universe — somehow vast and full of wonder. This special long-sleeve T-shirt was created to celebrate my sixtieth year.
