his year, I turn sixty — my Kanreki, the traditional milestone year of the Fire Horse. To mark this moment and with deep gratitude for everything that has brought me here, I painted this piece by hand as a small celebration for myself. The design features a birthday cake with 60 candles lit on top. The cake is painted on a black base, finished with a quick spray to give it a spacey feeling.
